(2-LP Set)The Shore emerged from L.A.'s Silverlake district in 2002, sporting a vintage mix of West Coast psychedelic pop influenced by The Beach Boys and Buffalo Springfield. After their debut E.P. and self-titled album were released on Maverick Records, singer-songwriter Ben Ashley and producer Rick Parker (The Dandy Warhols, Beachwood Sparks) began to work for their follow-up album, Light Years. The Shore's Light Years is every bit as hazily gorgeous as its predecessor.

While 2003's eponymous album was filled with would be singles, this sophomore effort focuses on mood, nailing the sepia toned textures of '70s Cali-rock with a mix of knotted guitar arpeggios, sitars, mellotrons, strings, and leisurely percussion. Light Years is a limited/numbered double vinyl only release which includes a digital download card.
