Red Barked Tree is the twelfth studio album from experimental and highly influential punk band Wire. Since cult classic 1977 debut 'Pink Flag' they have continued to create interesting and unpredictable music and this is no exception. Sharp melodies and great guitar lines are given a backdrop of pulsating rhythm to create a record that stands up to Wire'ebest work. Much like 'Red Barked Tree' as a whole, opener 'Please Take' is as aggressive and dark as it is fun.
